General Comments

I have just passed my driving test and have been given this car from my parents. To be honest when they drove this car I would criticise till the cows came home. But now I'm in the driver seat its a different story. This car is great for how cheap it is, with me just passing my test the insurance was sky high on anything else (as usual) which it isn't on this. Running costs are next to nill because of its mpg and being a student these need to be low. The interior to my matiz se+ is great...just pull a toggle and boom..seats down and lots of space. I have managed to fit 2 BMX bikes in this car with the front wheels off. The only bad points are its dull interior and use of cheap plastics also the engine is very small (keeps insurance down) but I get scared to overtake anything in case I blow the engine up. So not great for out of town driving. Overall if you are a student, have a tight budget to keep too, carry a lot of stuff about and want something to build you no claims up with for a couple of years. Go for the Matiz. To be honest for what it has its a very good car, for the size of the engine the performance is very good, practicality is close to the Honda jazz, and very good value for money. So ok it hasn't got a image of the MINI and isn't as quick as a saxo vtr but it isn't made for that its made to be cheap. Cheap to buy, cheap to insure, cheap to run. I'd rate this car possible one of the best for a budget.

"Cheap to buy, cheap to insure, cheap to run.".....and that's what it should be all about. My niece has one and THERE'S NOTHING WRONG WITH IT. It's got three cylinders I understand which means one less spark plug to buy!
