Bad Service- Autocare with Arnold Clark
After buying a car from Uncle Arnold Clark 5 months ago complete with Autocare extended warranty , I quite happily walked into my local Clark dealer with a couple of problems that popped up during this time knowing that I was covered for all non wear and tear parts i.e. exhaust-brakes and tyres .
To my amazement and anger the 4 problems that I had were not covered by autocare and after numerous phone calls found out that they seem to make up a list of things they don ' t cover depending on how many faults they get.
So after speaking to one of the Falkirk dealer who couldn ' t tell me what they covered and what they didn ' t , which I found unexplainable , I mean they advertise and sell the warranty , I knew I was going to get nothing and ended up paying for the new parts.
All I can say is never ever buy a car from Arnold Clark because they are ever sooooooo friendly and they sweeten up a nice little £395 extended warranty "Which Covers Nearly Everything" until you have something wrong then it covers nothing!!
Just to rub my nose in this sad story , I went to pick my car from the dealer after having a throttle cable lubricated to find it had done 23 miles since I dropped it off in the morning and after complaining being told that I must have read the mileage wrongly!
Obviously after taking Autocare cover with them they must think I ' m thick as pea soup so it was my fault again!!!
Hope this helps at least someone buying and losing from Arnold Clark .......................All the Best
