General Comments

Got myself the Sony NW-a1000 3 days ago and returned and swapped already. The software is a complete joke very slow ripping time (if it doesn't crash or freeze). Gave up with it for the sake of my sanity. The sound quality wasnt brilliant either!!

    I've had my Sony N1000 for some weeks now and love it! I think it's cool looking-and something you don't feel ashamed of bringing out of your pocket.
    I picked this one as you've two ways of charging it-by USB or mains.
    Regarding the Connect software-all you've got to do regarding the Connect has software is download Sonic Stage and use this instead. This is what I've done and so far so good. I do agree Connect is terrible.
    AND this player has a 6 gig HDD not a 6 mb as previously mentioned.

    All in all I'd thoroughly recommend this little marvel-but Sony, please try and get your act together regarding the dreadful Connect software!
