Good Points

Perfectly located.
Clean, modern hotel.
Friendly service.
Fab breakfasts.
Fab shower.


Bad Points

No bar or restaurant in evening, but plenty in the immediate vicinity.


General Comments

We were a little concerned as we had read other reviews of the Daniel Hotel in Graz after we had booked. However our fears were unfounded. From the airport, the train station is a five minute walk, and from there Graz main station is ten minutes away. The Hotel Daniel is adjacent to the station, and it couldn't be better placed, being a fifteen minute walk into the historic centre of the town. In addition, there are bars, shops and restaurants within two to three minutes walk of the hotel. Breakfast at rush hour was peaceful - a pleasure - with the only noise being the tranquil sound of water in the dining area water feature, and the chatter of guests.

The hotel itself is bright, clean and modern. The shower and WC in the room are cleverly designed - the shower being big enough for a party! Breakfast was of the highest standard, and offered every possible selection. All the staff are very helpful, and are quite happy to attend to variations away from the norm. It was my wife's birthday whilst we there, and although I had arranged for flowers, the champagne at breakfast and the bowls of peanuts and 'Gummi bears' were from the hotel. Excellent service

We would recommend the Hotel Daniel to anyone, and will have no hesitation stopping here next time we visit Graz.
