price, quality. zero twang. light weight.
trigger and sear need to be greased before shooting
I have put over 1000 shots through my Beeman GH 650 (or Beeman 1040/1041 in Canada. ) I purchased it at Canadian Tire for $219.99 .(with scope and muzzle break) This rifle shoots hard and has no twang (a symptom of most springers) as with most springers it needs a little lube on the trigger sear engagment and on the sear/hammer engagement. Then after a tin or two of pellets, the trigger slices like butter. I also belive the rifle shoots faster than advertised (for the Canadian model made in China) and at almost the advertised speed for the U.S. version. The neat thing about this rifle is that it has a ball bearing detent for the barrel lock, a feature seen in far more expensive rifles. It's very light and also on the short side making it an exellent bush rifle. If you don't want to have to "tune" your rifle than this is the one for you. If your a little more experienced in tearing down and rebuilding springers then I would have a look at a Slavia 631 while they are still avaliable.
