Good Points

Comfort, the way it looks, fuelconsumption, acceleration/topspeed


Bad Points

Weak cables and connections, weak suspension, powersteering makes creepy noises and the engine is a little noisy, impractical trunk


General Comments

Since 1996 im the owner of a Daewoo Espero, only it is not a 2.0 cd, but a 1.5 glx!
I am placing this review, because the 1.5 is very hard to find (everywhere) and it is almost the same car as the 1.8 and 2.0 except for the engine, abs, airco and electric mirrors!
I must say that this car is the best thing that ever happened to me.
The only things that ever broke down on this car are the tailpipe (twice) and the dynamo!
The engine is very, very powerfull, although is has only 90 hp and the acceleration is impressive! I can reach a speed of 100 km per hour in less than 10 seconds and the highest speed i ever drove with this car is nearly 200 km per hour....i was affraid to go any further, because it started to loose it's grip on the road!
I am a very sportive driver and sometimes i really abuse this car, but it's fuelconsumption is amazing. In heavy traffic it uses 1 litre:17 km and with normal driving 1 Litre:20 km!
It is great fun to annoy those gti's and gsi's with this slow looking car!
The comfort in this car is great. It's like you're driving a big American car only the suspension is too weak....it feels like you're on a big ship!
The only thing that irritates me is the trunk!
It is very, very large, but the opening is a disaster.....in no way you can place large boxes, or something in it, althought i managed to place two bikes in it....and don't forget...three of my friends...they asked for it!
But i used to drive a VW Golf and in no way it can match the Daewoo.

That is what i wanted to say about this car.
