It looks good and has a nice realistic feel to it.
The internals are really poor quality.
It will wear very quickly
I bought the blued 1911A1 supposedly new from a reputable gun auction!
In fact it is painted black, presumably because the material it is made from can't be blued.
Still it is a good coating that Umarex have put on it and it looks the real deal.....
The gun feels good and has a nice heft to it, it's easy to load with both the mags and Co2 cartridges.
However the fps leaves a lot to be desired, this is because as with nearly all semi auto Co2 guns with the revolver type of pellet feed the breech cannot be completly sealed.
Also the valve chamber itself is on the small side compared with the plastic Cr #1008b valve chamber, even though they are of a similar design.
At 25 feet it is fairly accurate but not many pistols with only a five inch barrel are accurate over 25 feet.
I should have sent the gun back to the seller as he offered when I found some scratches on a supposedly a 'new' gun.....(Duh)
I was enjoying shooting it so I kept it, the compensator and the slide fell off the next day.... The slide spring guide had stripped!! That's when I discovered this gun was either not a new gun or was very poorly made!!
OH! I have'nt mentiond I am a 'Air/Gunsmith'.....
I had to take the gun apart because the screw holding the slide and compensator would not tighten. (That's when I should have sent it back before I took it apart)....I had just negated the warranty!!!
Anyway while I had the gun in it's constituant pieces I had a good look and found some pretty shoddy workmanship in there.
The grip safety pushes a small thin plate up between the hammer and the valve acting like a striker plate, until you use the grip safety the hammer can't strike the valve needle.
This is a flimsy bit of design that had already worked itself loose
because the hollow rivet that holds (I call it the striker plate) in is not strong enough for the abuse it has to take....
Many of the internals are, for the price, not up to scratch..
As I write this review the gun is yet again stripped down because now the hammer slips when it is cocked.....
Enough.........
Although it is fun to shoot, (when it's working). I am getting a little fed up of having to make parts that should have been made correctly in the first place..
At least when I have made the new part's (I will have rebuilt the whole ....blank....gun) it will be a gun worth having.....
