General Comments

Bought two ipods for my kids at $399 a pop expecting years of service due to the name brand and corresponding support. I also liked the simplicity of the system and integrations with the software player and conversion. The first one crashed at eight months and was replaced for the shipping charges. The other one ran intermittently but held its' data. It crashed 3 weeks after the warranty expired. The other one (which was replaced at eight months ) crashed after one month, but now out of the original warranty. The website offers lots of support suggestions but the hard drive on the 20Gb units is VERY weak so the software help is useless. Buy all the extra warranty you can, then expect it to turn to landfill there after.
