General Comments

I've had the BSA Supersport rifle for 2 months. This little rifle is GREAT.

When I decided too buy a new rifle. I tested a lot of different brands eg. Gamo (almost all models), Webley Xocet, Weihrauch (way too expensive), Hatsun Mod70, BAM40 and a few other Chinese rifles. Eventually I settled for the BSA Supersport (.177)

The woodwork and craftmanship on this rifle is nice, not awesome, but better than most other guns in the same price range. The balance is amazing, if you carry the rifle around it seems to be heavy, but just shoulder it, and it seems to weigh no more than 2kg. I have been unable to chrony this rifle, but when compared to the other guns that's been tested, I would guess that it shoots Gamo Pro Magnums at about 830-850 fps.

There is no automatic safety on this rifle!!! Some people might not like this, but I'm sure there will be others who love this. It does have an anti beartrap safety, but the usual safety mechanism that stops you from pulling the trigger must be manually engaged/disengaged.

What impressed me most about this rifle is how easy it is to cock, compared to the power. I can literally use one finger to pull down the barrel and cock the rifle.
I recently took a 20m shot at a bone from a t-bone steak just to see what a pellet will do to bone. I used a normal Gamo wadcutter pellet. It looked as if someone drilled thru with an electric drill.

The accuracy is amazing. I don't have a scope, not yet anyway, so I use the standard open sights. It is a bit disappointing that BSA put cheap plastic sights on this rifle, instead of decent fiber optic sights, but at least they are good quality and bead/blade adjustable. After cleaning the rifle, I managed to get a 15mm grouping at 20m, with the first 3 shots!
So far I have been very impressed with the Supersport.
