Bad Points
Don't seems to cater to well for english speaking travellers. Poor punctuality
General Comments
I have chosen to fly Air Berlin on 5 or 6 occassions since they started their Glasgow Stansted (GLA STN) route. They're not the most punctual often leaving 30 mins late, if you're a regular flyer these delays often for no reason really begin to grate.
Arriving at Stansted the plane parks at an international stand as it's next leg will be to somewhere in Germany which means of course waiting for buses ... again regaular travellers will know how frustrating this can be.
Overall the staff are friendly although note the comments above about english speaking customers. The planes normally used are Fokker 100 which appear a bit old.
On 31/03 one of the Fokkers (the 16:20 flight) had a technical fault. Of course this was their second and last flight to GLA that day and when they could not fix the problem or get an engineer out they cancelled the flight telling passengers around 19:30 hours. For those that wanted it Air Berlin provided accomodation in the adjacent SAS Radission which was great. I have just sent a compensation for of to AB so we'll see what the customer care is like.
