Plenty for the kids to do
Comfort Plus Lodge
Mediocre food
After reading all the awful reviews I read the night before we left to go to Center Parcs Oasis Whinfell, I thought it was a very bad idea, but it was a pleasant surprise!
We booked a last minute mid-week break in a Comfort Plus Lodge (Foresters Lane) which was very nice, clean, spacious, warm and comfortable. Our experience of the pool was fine. It wasn't too busy or dirty, and the food seemed to be about the same prices we would have paid at home in Nottingham for a family of 5. There are some special meal deals for families at some of the restaurants. We paid about £30 in the burger place and £50 in Chez Pierre, and that included a bottle of wine. The supermarket is expensive and not particularly well stocked. I shopped in Sainsbury's before we left, so it wasn't a big deal.
Overall, we had a good time. It was great to be able to let the kids ride their bikes safely and watch the rabbits.
