Martin010's Review of Royal Navy

30th Mar 2006

Overall Rating

5 stars
    Good Points

The Royal Navy offers so much to qualified and unqualified people. The job can give you extensive training for what you want to do, and you can do this training at many onshore or offshore bases such as; HMS Raleigh or HMS Collingwood etc. There are many branches of the Royal Navy such as; Warfare, Marine Engineering, Medical, and Royal Marine Commandos. All these branches of the Royal Navy offer excellent training, pay and prospects.

    Bad Points

    There really are none!!!

    General Comments

For most branches 16 is the minimum age (with parental consent). To be selected for entry you will need to attend an interview and medical examination at an Armed Forces Careers Office (AFCO), this will include a test on basic maths, English and general common sense. Only men can serve in submarines and the Royal Marine Commandos. The Navy is an amazing job with a great pension at the end, and you get to travel the world and meet new people. The Royal Navy is a very good job!!
