Good Points
This lens is small and light, and of very high photographic quality
Bad Points
Now hard to find in excellent condition, as once a person has one they do not sell it
General Comments
The Canon FD 50mm/1.4 35mm SLR lens is a fast lens, which is to say that it can allow you to take a good quality photo in low and very poor lighting.
Your normal zoom wide open in low light would usually give a exposure of f 4.0 at say 1/30.
A 1.4 is 2 stops wider, so that means that your shutter speed can go up to speeds. ie f1.4 @ 1/125, which means less camera shake and a better photo overall.
Because of the small size it can just be slipped into a pocket or purse.
