Good Points

Cheap, easy to use and great for beginners. Pictures copy quickly onto your PC via the USB port.


Bad Points

LCD screen is too small/difficult to see in bright light.
Batteries run out quickly when using the LCD screen.


General Comments

The Finepix 1400 is an excellent camera for beginners. It's cheap enough to use it as a test camera for those just starting out in digital photography who need to determine what advanced features they require. Or it's great for the fun/home user as an everyday camera.
In comparison to the Sony cameras i also use, i prefer it. It's smaller, lighter and looks like a normal camera, so potential thieves ignore it. I also bought a 32MB card, which at low resolution just goes on and on.
