Good Points

Produced very good white bread and rolls. Easy to use.

Bad Points

Marking of breadmaker. The silver painting marked and scratched at the slightest touch.
Spoilt the appearance of the breadmaker.

General Comments

Whilst pleased with the results of my Breville BR8L breadmaking I am very disappointed that the appliance has only lasted 2 years and three months.

I have been delighted with my Anthony Worrell Thompson BR8 Breadmaker until thirteen-months into an otherwise happy onwership. Yes, just one month out of guarantee, and my beloved breadmaker goes ker-plonk! The element stopped working. Surely, though, Breville will take a sympathetic view and deal appropriately with the problem, especially as on the back of my recommendations three family members have all bought one each. But then came the real ker-plonk. Elements do breakdown ... but the dismissive attitude displayed by Breville when I phoned requesting suggestions, was as flat as the roll of sad-looking dough that currently resides at the bottom of the pan. "It is out of guarantee. There is nothing we can do. We don't do repairs," was their non-caring response. Adding, "Go buy a new one." I will - but not from Breville. Beware ...
