Good Points

Economy, reliability, comfort


Bad Points

Front suspension apt to knocks and rattles.
Drivers seat adjuster on wrong side, making it irritating to slide the seat back after a small driver has used the car.


General Comments

I have owned a 90BHP Passat 1.9TDI for the past three years. I purchased the car with 50,000 on the clock. I have done 35k since. I have been so impressed with the car that I am about to change it for the 130 bhp model. Economy is superb for the size of the car, the car is well laid out inside with extras that you appreciate every time you use the car. Reliability has been great although the multi link front suspension system is prone to wearing which means costly repairs for arms links etc.
