Cheap and quiet. Daily visit by the monkeys. Excellent location within Gambia.

General Comments
The Holiday Beach Club Hotel, Kololi, was quiet and our room faced the sea which was lovely. At first we were a bit shocked with the room but when compared to the rest of the Gambia, started to look good. It was very basic and not too dirty (rather than clean!). Pool area was nice. Staff friendly and most were not too overbearing. Breakfast very basic. Plenty of extras could be bought at hotel if requires such as fridge, air con, better rooms etc.

I disagree with this review because...me and my partner went last year november 2006 and thought it was a fantastic hotel. We knew when we booked it that it wouldn't be great and when we got there it was better than expected. The gardens are lovely and the fact that the driveway is so long was better for us because it kept us away from the main street. We are thinking about taking 2 of our children there but I'm not too sure yet because when we went there really weren't any children there.
