It's stiff, but not too stiff.
It holds its shape pretty well.
Smacks of pop!!!
Bad Points
middle layers can chip a bit.
General Comments
Ok, this deck is pretty sweet as far as they all go.
Blind claims that it is strong, and yep, it's superstrong. You can feel it. It is stiff, but not too stiff, and I'm finding its held its shape pretty well.
Mid level concave - which is sufficient for flips, and provides good grip/control.
The endgrain at the tail has worn pretty well, and I give my decks an absolute hiding - worn well in that it's not lacking in any pop since I got the deck. I could ollie as big then as I can now.
Ahhhh, what else.....?
When you see the deck you will know what I mean by this - I found that when you happen slam the rails against blocks, etc, the middle red and black layers tend to chip/flake. It's not as bad as delam, and I'm not sure if it's meant to chip to prevent delam. It doesn't look great or give you warm and fuzzies, but by the same token it doesn't seem to effect the board's stiffness. This may be because the carbon fibre middle-ply is still intact (it's set inside the perimeter about 40mm, and both the top and bottom are fused to it - increasing stiffness and shape-hold...apparently).
Only real sticking point is that the board definitely feels different to my previous deck (LIBtech and are on a completely different level!!! I kid you not) and big popshuvits don't come as easily - but that may just be me having to relearn my skills.
Bottom line, I'd definitely buy one of these babies again, maybe one with more concave (See Kris Markovich) - they're made supertight: the plys are thinner, they have 8-ply, one of which is carbon fibre - overall the deck is probably slightly lighter as well. Hope this helps.
(Also check out LIBtech!!!)
Peace
