Bad Points

General Comments

This economical Springer pistol is billed by some retailers as a great "plinker" - Others claim it's an entry level target pistol. - I've never owned a "target pistol" before, but thought myself a decent shot. I couldn't hit my target with this !! Could this require a different technique to shoot, by it's design? I like the pistol, but think it's a better plinker, than target gun. Feedback appreciated.

I posted this comment on review No1 of this pistol, but it appears to be relevant here as well. At least Tom has reviewed it with an open mind and recommends it despite his own results. I think technique has a lot to do with the accuracy of a spring gun, pistol or rifle.
"I've been 10m target shooting 6 months and now use an ALFASPORT CO2. I am not an expert shot. My best card is 91 and I average mid 80s.
Last night I picked up a buddy's (very old) Baikal, last card of the night, eyes tired etc. and shot an 86. Not Olympic standard by any stretch, but first effort with what to me seems an excellent little gun. From new it may well need a bit of TLC, lubing and smoothing, but for £36 it seems an incredible bargain. I may have to buy one to play with and work on!"
