General Comments

Purchased my Fuji Finepix F401 in 2003, was never abused, dropped, used rarely, etc.., and now recently the display started malfunctioning, and when a picture is taken it's all black with a green swirl. My warranty is up so no coverage. Quite a few other people seem to have the same problem.
FUJI NEVER AGAIN!

    I recently found out that there was a recall on Fuji cameras (including the FinePix 401) on a Sony CCD chip that they used would malfunction due to heat and humidity. Display would be fuzzy, reddish hue, etc.. and pictures taken are black. Call Fuji for info, ask them about a CCD advisory. Dan USA

    I had the same problem, contact Fuji direct technical support from their website - sent the camera back on Saturday 24th April received it back today 27th working and free of charge. The man in the UK said they had a batch of cameras with a problem with their CAD picture imaging device.
