General Comments

The Nissan 200 SX Turbo S13 is for those of you who want a fast car for not a lot of money. Mine was £1350 about 9 months ago with 89,000 miles. For that price the turbo had been replaced and the car was tuned to stage one (approx 200bhp). I bought the car with the knowledge I was only going to do low mileage in it. This is because the big end bearings on these cars tend to wear out between 90 000 and 130 000 so be careful! The ride is very comfortable, and the steering is very quick, the car turns into corners well. However I am always a little concerned when it comes to corners because it doesn't take much to slide the back out, it doesn't feel quite as planted as my old primera was. Be careful though and you will be rewarded. Before this car car I had been used to FF cars which tend to wear the front tyres out quickly. This FR car however really does go through the rear tyres although fronts seem to wear well. Oil changes need to be done every 3000 miles which can get expensive if you do high mileage. I'd look out for rust under the rear arches, sills and under the spoiler, which whilst not catastrophic will spread. To get an absolutely mint model I'd expect to pay around £2500, for that I'd want no rust, a reconditioned engine and turbo. Also you would expect some modifications (there are very few unmodified examples, although they are generally well done performance mods rather than garish boy racer mods) to the power output. For a more basic example expect to pay upwards of £1000 and for that you should get a car with only a few minor problems which will need addressing in the near future. Overall I'm happy with the car, I love the way it looks although it could do with some bigger wheels and lowering. Also the fact the engine has not long to go is a concern, but this was only ever meant as a car for a short period of time. The acceleration is awesome and puts any, and I do mean any hot hatch to (shame).
