General Comments

I have the Kef 107/2's with the updated tweeter and bi-amp capability. They come with the bass equalization KUBE system. I had been using my father's 1971 coustics Research AR5's, then I tried Martin Logan Montages for a few days, then settled on the KEF's. They are very neutral in the sense that they simply reproduce the music. They don't seem to overinflate any part of the register. They are very understated (especially in the lower registers) until you push them, then they really shine, e.g. Sheffield Labs Kodo Japanese Drumming CD. Closing your eyes, you can easily visualize the exact location of different drummers on the stage and literally feel the tension in the drum skins. The pivoting tweeter/mid heads on the 107's make stereo imaging easy to fine-tune. The Bass literally shakes the room, as the drums might (I have not been to a live performance of theirs) The bass remains clear and tight, not the least bit
