Good Points

Makes MS Publisher look like the children's program it is. Can still deliver the goods in skilled hands.

Bad Points

Obsolete and expensive. Needs careful workflow to get the best from it and avoid file corruption errors and instability. Buy Adobe InDesign is you wish to create quality publication efficiently, as it has full integration with Illustrator, Photoshop and the Postscript world.

General Comments

Adobe ceased developing PageMaker several years ago, and while it used to be arguably the leading DTP application, InDesign has superseded and improved on it in every dimension.

The £80 version is an upgrade, requiring a pre-existing licence number from an earlier version. Existing users can get a discount when buying InDesign, but this discount may end at any time.
