Good Points
- Tack sharp at F2.8, sharp at full opening
- Contrasty from F2.8 up.
- Fast, ultra reliable focus on any Nikon Camera (old or new)
- Dirt cheap, so cheap even that there is no single reason to buy this lens second hand
Bad Points
Can't find any for this money.
General Comments
This is a no brainer. This lens will come in handy in situations where light is not available. This lens captures great detail at good contrast.
When looking at my pictures of rock drawings in Norway, it was quite clear what photo's had been made with the 50/1.8 AFD, what photo's had been made with the Nikkor 18-35 and what photo's with the standard 28-80 kit lens. As a matter of fact, the kit lens photo's were (in comparison) so disappointing, that me and my gf will trade it in for a quality standard zoom, like the sigma of Tamron 24-135
