Easy traveling Cathay Pacific take care of everything
We had none
We flew Cathay Pacific from London to Sydney with a 9 hour change over in Hong Kong. From the moment we arrived at the London check in we where made to feel special. We were travelling with our two children aged 2 & 5 at the time and there was nothing they could not do for us! From letting us pick our own seats to the lady behind the counter giving the children lolly pops.
Once on the plane we found it very clean comfortable and with the flight not being totally full the five seats we had for the four of us was very roomy. The staff also where straight over to see if they could give us extra assistants and gave the children what was the first of 5 goodie bags.
The flight was a day flight to Hong Kong so we were awake for the whole of the first flight and excuse the pun but the time just flew in. The selection of films were excellent and all brand new releases. There was a good choice of computer games and radio stations as well but our favourite was between films where we could view where we where in the world.
The food was aeroplane food with a slight oriental feel, the quality and selection was satisfying and the wine which was on tap was even better. We did like the fact that if anyone was peckish we could help ourselves to a selection of food situated through out the plane; this came in handy on the red eye to Sydney. The selection to help yourself was simple contains sandwiches, cakes, biscuits, nuts and Hong Kong's version of a pot noodle.
The flight smooth on time and the service superb, the aircraft was new and modern with the return flight on a double decker. However the best thing about the whole flight and service was the price, we booked only 3 weeks in advance but the cost did not reflect this, we paid £700 for each adult my 4 year old was £150 and my 1 year old £56. Making a six week holiday down under with a free internal flight to Perth cheaper an a 1 week holiday to Disney World, and that is called value that you just can't measure!
