Well the sales patter seemed convincing

I got convinced into buying a car that wasn't fit for road usage in my opinion....what did the dealer do?? Told me it wasn't their problem!

I went to St Neots because I had seen a car that I thought looked perfect for me, reasonable price, mileage etc. Admiral Cars told me what a great little runner it was, even that I was welcome to get an AA or RAC car inspection done! Bought the car drove it home, no problems I thought, the very next day however I noticd the battery was quite flat it didn't have any power. Actually it was really sluggish, the brakes were quite poor as well. Bbut the dealer had said this may happen for a few days so I didn't worry to much (woman driver that I am) anyway on the fourth day after buying the car it totally wouldn't go past 70mph (which took about three days to even get that fast).Then the power went so I was stuck on a motorway doing 10mph!! Contacted the dealer straight away where they interested? Nope did they want to help nope, infact they where so hugely rude I was very offended!. I had bought a warranty and was told this would cover it however on contacting my local garage I was told a very different story. They were amazed (and disgusted) that the dealer wouldn't help me. All I can say is that I personally would never use Admiral cars in St Neots ever again as I firmly believe they must have been very much aware of the cars failings and I feel very conned and bitter! Especially as I had loaned the money to buy a car and at the moment am left with a car that doesnt work a possible huge garage bill and in talks with Trading Standards about my issues with the company!

  More or less the same thing has happened to my husband after buying a car from these people!

  I too will never get a car from them again. Firstly, the exhaust on the car fell off a month after I bought the car (which they had MOT'd) I also found out it was the completely wrong exhaust for the car. The garage I took it to were appalled it passed its MOT and guess what.....it wasn't included in the warranty. Not only that but I have had to take my car to an auto electrics place on several occasions for coding faults which should have been picked up in the service that the garage apparently did.

  I have bought a car from Admiral cars and found service excellent, I would point out mots are done by an independent garage not by admiral, and as a mechanic codes are either cleared once not several times they do not keep coming up, also you can not have a "wrong" exhaust - either it fits or it doesn't.
