Good Points

Clean looks (Reminds me of the Rega philosophy were it looks simple but those in the know smuggly know all the money goes in to the bearing!).

Bad Points

Build, very cheap. Occasionally DVD-audio disc (Deep Purple) was heard rattling inside machine before machine gave-up trying to start. On some CDs very load humming noise at 2nd or 3rd track which went down in frequency toward end of disc. Could not put on stand-by just to stop the noise. Frequent audio drop-outs, especially at start of loud sections. Bad (effectively non-existent) documentation, including on maker/source and specifcation. No specification of the bits/Hz capability from audio outs. No DVD-audio accreditation from the DVD FLLC (i.e. it may have failed final DVD-audio verification and can not sport "DVD-audio" or "DVD-audio/video" logo.)

General Comments

This was bought only to compare entry-level DVD-audio (24/192)stereo with direct-disc vinyl but bad faults get in the way. Stereo (Deep Purple) well defined and crisper than CD even with the budget speakers, but was not convinced the output was at the 24bit/192Hz of the recording. Would be worth taking a chance with at a lower price.
