General Comments

Ever since I saw Sky+ at a mates house I wanted it, so I invested in it and it was everything and more I wanted it to be. Over the past 3 or 4 months it has started to act up, no big deal to start with, just reset the box and away she went. Recently with the latest software update the Amstrad boxes have really started playing up (just go on an AV forum and look up Sky+ Amstrad boxes. Basically I would be watching TV and the audio would go out of sync, the box would realise it was out of Sync so it would fix it but would take about a second to do this and in that time there would be NO audio at all, this are the problems I would get watching LIVE TV!!!! Recorded shows were often far far worse and were unwatchable. Please do not think that this is an issue that only I am having, please please don't take my word for it, go check around. I have now cancelled my Sky+ after talking to a member of the "win back" team who said there was NO problem at all with Amstrads and she had one herself (yeah, right!). I have gone and got myself an LG RH7500 (look up the review here) which has much of the functionality of Sky+ but with no subscription and no picture / audio problems. Sky+ is a great idea and WAS a wonderful system, but they have completely destroyed it with the latest series of software updates.
