General Comments
I flew with Virgin Blue from Adelaide to Melbourne late last week. A tremendously enjoyable experience. They have managed to hold onto some core service levels even as the continue to expand rapidly. I was greeted by name with a warm genuine approach and my laptop bag was stowed for me as I was lucky enough again to score seat 1A....My favourite for extra legroom and quick exit when landed. Boarding was a "no - fuss" affair, with helpful cabin crew managing to seat everyone with speed. The crew serviced the full load with two runs of the snack and drink trollies on what is a very short flight.
Yet again, despite popular belief in favour of the Kanagroo competitor, I am happy to find Virgin Blue B737 offers more legroom than the Qantas B737 with suprisingly less number of distracting public announcements
Arrival schedule was met and disembarked very quickly using front and rear stairways. I say it again, Qantas genuinely need to revisit their service and comfort levels and use Virgin Blue as thier benchmark. I have taken 3 Virgin Blue Flights and 2 Qantas Flights last month. All Virgin Blue flights departed and arrived on time whilst both qantas flights departed late with no reason offered to passengers.
