General Comments
I bought a DLink DWL-650+ wireless network card back in christmas of 2003 and its been working in my laptops ever since. I've had 4 laptops in the past 3 years now. I had a Dell Latitude CP, then a Toshiba Tecra 740CDT (because my Dell died, dropped down the stairs) then a Compaq Armada 1700, then a Dell Inspiron 7000. I use both my Dell inspiron and Armada, this card works great on both computers. I have 98 installed on the Armada and XP on the Inspiron and the card works great under both operating systems. I think the best point of this card is the easy setup software it comes with. I have the 22mbps + 4 x dwl-650+ not the dwl-650, the model name in which this is listed under is right, however the picture is wrong. The one i have has a grey end on it, not a black bulb. mine is also rectangular. Anyway, that aside, this card is great. I dont know why some people have problems, and when they do, they blame the manufacturer. Get someone that knows what theyre doing to determine that. Also, bear in mind that nothing is perfect. Anyway, the dwl-650+ is a great overall card and works on all major operating systems 98 - XP. Oh yeah, and it works on some computers i never thought it would. The Tecra had 16bit card bus, not 32 and it still worked on that o.O. Anyway, im out.
