General Comments
After three years of paying E and L Pet insurance for 2 pets, we had to make a claim for one of my dogs.
It has taken them months to sort out this claim, and a fire conveniently destroyed all of the paper work, but when I rang to complain to them they were able to pull all of my details up from day 1 on screen.
In small print on the section covering excess was a little add on that required us to pay the excess plus 35% of the vets fees.
We were totally unaware of the 35% extra, and yes you could argue that we should have read the document fully, but originally we were told about the £59 excess and no mention in the policy that as your pet ages you will be faced with not only increased premiums but hidden extras.
I have found a much better policy that covers my pets throughout the illness with a much higher amount of vet's fees.
It is not subject to 365 days of cover once an illness has been diagnosed, AND the premium is a whole lot less than I was paying E&L.
Shop around.
