They seemed very helpful at the start until I lodged a cheque for a substantial amount, they then froze my account for a week, and they didn't even say sorry for the inconvenience.
They charge far too much for failed direct debit's. They charge £34 then £25, and don't pay the bill. In that instance the direct debit was for £10!
If you ever get into difficulty with the running of your Alliance & Leicester account they don't want to know. The credit control centre is rubbish, and they have no facilities set up to help in that area.
