General Comments
For the money, the Acoustic Energy Aegis Evo 3 speakers are excellent, with all the right ingredients. They play loud without problems, and they respond to peaks well, offering complete scale and authority.
The upper mid-range I found a little distorted when compared with hi-end speakers, and I actually replaced these with Jordan JX92s modules - the result was astounding and I can't really fault them now. The Jordan is running full-range as it handles all frequencies well.
The AE's respond to low 30s HZ, which is very good for speakers this size. A subwoofer that goes flat to 20hz is essential if you wish to fill in the ultra-low frequencies for the ultimate system. I Suggest the MJ Acoustics range, not AE.

Just purchased the Acoustic Energy Aegis Evo 3speakers using the link on Review Centre. Here's hoping. I can't wait to find out if they are as good as they sound.
