General Comments

I've had an iPod Shuffle for almost a year and it's perfect for me. I wear it jogging and walking around, and listen to it in the bathroom (plugged into speakers). It's perfect for jogging because of its tiny size and lack of weight.

It doesn't have the bells and whistles of some MP3 players, but that's half its charm. It just plays music, and it does it extremely well. The sound quality is excellent (although I recommend getting some black in-ear headphones such as Sony MDR-EX71SL).

iTunes is an overall pretty good music player, and the integration with the Shuffle is pretty seamless. If you use iTunes I would recommend you rip CD's as MP3's. By default it creates AAC's, and although these are good quality, you'll be hard pushed to find another portable AAC player; meaning you'll end up tied into buying iPod's in the future if your whole music collection is AAC format (like mine is).

I've now bought my fiancee one too, and she loves it, and the price has dropped by about 30% since I got mine!
