General Comments

I sold a house in Disley, Cheshire, through Bridgefords Estate Agents. What a mistake!

We were in possibly the shortest chain ever. We were moving in to an empty house, and our buyer was a first time buyer.

It has taken 4 months to move. Mainly because our first time buyer used Bridgefords solicitors, and for taking a mortgage from them. Seemingly there was no explanation for the delays.

They pride themselves on being a "one stop shop" under the countrywide umbrella. You'd think this would mean they are quick. Not the case! For example, instead of using a local solicitors, our buyer had to use a countrywide approved agency in Milton Keynes - 150 miles away!!

Our purchase on the other hand was done through a superb local agent, and our mortgage through a local Building Society. All done and dusted in about 3 weeks.
