General Comments

Deviant Art is an internet site for lovers and creators of art, traditional art, digital art, literature, photography, and so on. You are free to browse people's art and display your own.

Registration is free, and quite simple members are given their own page to display their own artwork; whatever it may be. This website has members all over the world, from every age, race, and with every varying degree of talent, from professional artists, writers and photographers to those with art as a hobby and doodle-ers.

You are also given a journal function for you to post either diary entries or notes to friends.
You get to add people you know or meet on there as friends, enabling them to receive your journals and artwork as posted, and vice versa.

There is no limit to the size of your gallery, which is available for others to view and comment on, and you can also save a gallery of your favourite pieces of other peoples work.

This website enables people to comment on your work and add it as favourite material to their pages, thus spreading your art around and increasing your notoriety.

Additional features of this website are...

- The chat facility, to meet like-minded artists and appreciators of art.
- You can choose to pay a subscription fee (£17.08 per year) for extra features and ease.
- You can also shop for art (many talented artists sell prints through this website).
- If you believe your art is good enough to sell, you can in fact make money yourself through Deviant Art. You keep the copyright to your artwork, they make the prints, and when people order them from the site you get a percentage of the profits.

I have met many interesting people from all over the world through this website, as well as being inspired to create more of the art I love. I am constantly in awe of the amazing unrecognised talent that so many people possess and display on this internationally loved website.
