Extreme ease of use and great picture quality.
A great deal of presets and features for anyone from a beginner to an expert.
Has an internal memory for a few shots when a memory stick is not handy.
Bad Points
The operators manual is a bit vague.
General Comments
The Sony CyberShot DSC-H1 is a new camera to me, and it was purchased only a month ago. It is a great camera! It was purchased because the zoom far exceeded others on display next to it. I could focus on an object halfway down the store and still read what I was looking at, whereas none of the other cameras did so well.
The camera has mostly been used on the "automatic" mode, which most people will use anyway, but I have started looking at the other settings and features.
It does a good job being held in hand and producing sharp images, but for truly sharp photo's, be sure to set the unit on a balanced tripod. Of course that is true for any camera. I have used this camera both on and off the tripod, but I generally use the tripod when I shoot for an extended period of time. For instance, for dinner banquets and such. I can advise anyone looking for a good camera to pick this one.
