Delivery hassle
Poor quality of bathroom suite
I bought a bathroom suite from Homebase. Delivery is stated as 6 weeks from order. Most of the suite was delivered as arranged, but it took 7 attempts before I got a bath panel that was not scratched or split.
Since it has been fitted I am very unhappy with the toilet as it blocks up very easily, even without any paper. This seems to be because the toilet is designed with a very small, flattened throat compared to a British toilet (I understand Homebase is French). The taps were total rubbish - the insets came off, and the top of one tap sheared off completely on the day after it was fitted. The pop-up waste for the bath has broken, and so has a replacement, so I have resorted to a rubber plug. Also, the bath stains very easily, even with ordinary bubble bath.
I am still pursuing satisfactory recompense for these defects. Meanwhile, two of my friends are suffering similar hassles with delivery and the blocking toilet.
