Good Points

Pretty gripping stuff all the way through.

Bad Points

I'm afraid the conclusion of events was just a little bit too stretched to make it credible.

General Comments

Make no mistake, Brown is a very good storyteller. Granting him some space in terms of building up his characters (although the lack of depth allows him sometimes to turn these characters' behaviour patterns on their head when he needs to). I became quickly embroiled in what was a fascinating and keenly portrayed plot. The imagery he creates in Angels and demons, especially of Rome, but CERN too - is very strong. Very believable historical aspect also (I can't say any more than that if you haven't read it!).

However. the whole thing rather takes a turn for the unbelievable at the climax, and I'm afraid I put this book down at the end with a resigned rather than appreciative sigh.
