Good Points

Solid construction
Good scope
Great scope ring mounts
Nice muzzle break
Adjustable trigger
Rubber butt pad
1000fps

Bad Points

Stock not finished completely(can see where no stain was applied
No Beeman trademarks
Trigger has lots of take-up
Heavy, hard to steady off hand shots

General Comments

I recently purchased a Beeman SS1000 over the net from Pyramidair and it was much cheaper that way with their free shipping. Overall this gun is quite decent. The scope and mounts are top notch airgun quality. The finish on the gun both metal and wood were decent but not what i have come to expect from Beeman. QC has gone down. But it doesnt affect the functionality or shootability of this rifle. Its accurate and powerful. Mine croned at 1056fps. All in all if you want to hunt get this rifle. If you are a target shooter find another although it has the accuracy.

   Please put your results into detail. whats your best grouping? how loud is it? is it really hold sensitive?

   For the money you don't really expect HW80 or HW95 German quality do you? Although it would be nice. As you mentioned, the Beeman SS1000 is a nicely made, accurate, reasonably priced air rifle. Mine has a Beeman trademark on it, but this gun is made in China, and Beeman market them.
   
   I'd say it shoots like a RWS 94; maybe not as well stained or blued, but close. I agree with your comments, and they will be quite helpful for others thinking about buying this rifle.

   I agree that quality control has gone down. Unfortunately, this seems to be happening to Crosman and Daisy, as well as the Beeman (I used to be a big Crosman fan until the rifles began to fail in accuracy after a year), but it is more widespread now than ever before. My rifles are not meant to look nice. I don't care if they do or not. What I do care about is whether they can knock a wild dog or coyote over. The SS100 is well capable of doing this, along with other pests I have in my woods (won't take a black bear down, but they don't like it much either, though I haven't tried the Gamo Raptors yet). What a rifle can do is the most important, not what it looks like.

   You obviously made a mistake in your recommendation of the Beeman SS1000 air rifle. Did you know that you marked "No" in the Do you recommend this rifle? As good as a review that you wrote abouts its overall use. It must have been a typo.

   traxxas, I just looked on Pyramid Air. They show the gold Beeman symbols, and just about everything else looks normal, but something about the stock bugged me. It just doesn't look right. I read not too long ago about buying airguns off the Internet. It said something about shipments going to the wrong place or getting somebody else's shipment. You might want to look into it.

   MPenn I don't think you can Edit once submitted, the way to counter act it is submit another or the same (copy & paste) and recommend it with a "YES", as it would help the guns rating.
   
   As for the stock not looking right a lot of times, they trim the picture to make it fit. Doing this can change the look of the rifle because it pushes pixels together. As you know that Beeman SS1000 has a very comfortable stock.
