My daughter is on her third iPod. The first two developed faults and were replaced. The iTunes software messed up our PC. I really wouldn't have one given to me freely.
Without the slightest interest in fashion or icon status, I wanted sound quality and reliability. That's what I got with the Creative Zen Sleek MP3 player.
Nice to use, nice to listen to, and good battery life. I invested in some Shure earphones which fit inside the ear, and they give superb sound quality, but you can only use them when you really don't care what's going on around you, as they block almost everything out. Be very careful crossing roads!
he bottom line is it's not a fashion statement, but it does what it is intended to do extremely well. Highly recommended.
