Fresher and lighter and cleaner than Chanel No 5. I have worn the EDT for years, and loved it. The colour in the bottle is green, and this is reflected in the smell, but it is still sophisiticated.
The eau de parfum and the eau de toilette smell completely different.
Chanel No 19 EDT: light, fresh, sophisticated, doesn't change character too much during the day, suitable for day or evening. A floral with a green edge, that I chose in preference to the softer, more powdery scent of Chanel No 5.
EDP: much sweeter, softer and more more floral. Much less presence. I had worn the EDT for years, and made the mistake of buying the EDP without testing it first - after all, how different could it be? Well, it is VERY different. To me, they smell like completely different perfumes, and it is a lesson that I will always remember - never think that that EDT and EDP are going to smell the same! Grumble, grumble.
