1. Carl-Zeiss lens, very sharp and clear images
2. Excellent manual control buttons
3. Impressive Marco mode, 4cm!
4. Easy menu navigation
5. Fast shot-to-shot image recording time
6. Fabulous battery life!
Bad Points
1. Proprietary flashlight (only support Sony's flash units)
2. not upgradable to new Memory Stick Pro (256mb, 512mb...etc)
3. images slightly shows purple edges
4. Ok white balance control
General Comments
Overall, I really love this camera, especially it is such a great buy for the price. The image quality is excellent, that is one important factors which drawn me to buy this camera. Sony DSC-S85 is very versatile, you can simply use the auto mode to take pictures, and still have enough functions (manual controls) for you to learn photography.
