Good Points
Good accuracy. Nicely finished hardwood stock. Very easy to cock. easy trigger pull. Overall good looking airrifle. Good clear open sights.

Bad Points
Although the trigger pull is easy, it has a lot of free travel- takes aways before the let off.

General Comments
Made a good deal on this Gamo Sporter 500 so my nephew will now have an air rifle. This is a good little airgun for someone to start with. Has a lot of good qualities about it. A nice hard beechwood stock with a rounded check rest, hard plastic buttplate, easy pulling steel trigger, and pretty good accuracy. Found RWS Superdomes shoot very good.
