Good fun for whole family
Safari drive took a very long time and the view wasn't that good
We went to West Midlands Safari park a few months a go (in the Summer).
Upon arrival I was very impressed with the amount of car parking available and the close proximity to the facilities.
We decided to drive round the safari area first. Looking at the map I was impressed with the range of animals on display but when driving round I became a bit disappointed with the amount of animals actually on display. I appreciate that different animals sleep at different times of the day but some parts of the safari took 10-15 minutes with very little to see.
The other thing to say about the safari is - don't do it on a hot day!! - it took nearly two hours due to the amount of stops that are forced upon you (I imagine these are for safety reasons though).
After the safari we went to the main park and had a meal in the resteraunt. There wasn't a massive amount on offer but what was available was good value for money and more importantly it wasn't american burgers!! It was proper food - cooked fresh.
The theme park looked fine (we didn't really go for the rides but they didn't seem too badly priced) and the walk through areas were all well organised.
A good day out but be prepared for the gruelling safari!
