General Comments

I found my Fuji Finepix S5600 Zoom Digital Camera eating batteries at a ridiculous rate. I spent a fortune om the highest performance batteries I could get as advised by a camera shop. Still no luck....

Waste of time using anything other than Ni-MH rechargables. Far more cost effective.

I use Uniross 2300mAh rechargeables and get 2-300 shots between charges.

I use an S7000 which came before the Fuji Finepix S5600. I am surprised that the batteries run down so quickly. It must be similar to the S7000 electronics. Purchase an AN-MANN Digi speed with similar Ni MH batteries. Mine are 2400 - the higher the number the longer they will last, and they are now cheaper to purchase. Batteries have never been a problem since doing this. We took a fully charged camera for two weeks on holiday, and it lasted for that period or 330 shots taken.

    Best wishes.

Mate anything other than high capacity NI-MH in any digital camera is a waste of time, buy two sets of at least 2100 m and you should have no problems

I disagree with this review because... My Fuji S6500 I have had for over 2 years, the batteries I use are Duracell 1700mAH Rechargable, they last for ages and I always carry 4 spares in my pocket! Try it! Its a great camera and well underpriced compared with other more expensive cameras!
