Good Points

Cheap as Chips, dead reliable (even boringly so if you read the motorcycle press), dependable, safe, huge and enthusiastic user base

Bad Points

Alloy and mild steel parts corrode too easily in winter (clean and lube with WD40), bland image, no wind protection.

General Comments

This is a great bike for the born again biker, The standard tyres (Michelin MacAdams) don't inspire much confidence and may put people off, fit Bridgestone BT45's and a Fabbri flyscreen and it's hugely better. Plenty quick enough if you are used to a car without being daunting. So what if it's been around for over 20 years, all the bug's have been ironed out, Good for 125 mph and 0-60 in about 5 seconds, can buy new for a smidge over 3 grand. I have ridden mine in howling gales, rain deluges, ice (-11), snow, fog, hail, sleet and still had a smile on my face, try doing that an an R6 or a GSXR600 !!!!
