Good Points

Nice Looking, very slim. excellent build quality.
Picture is far sharper than older dvd players.
Value for money - upscaler hi-def


Bad Points

Was originally to be fitted with a DVI port which I have, but it came with HDMI.
Cable supplied is worth binning


General Comments

Have had this Samsung DVD-HD850 just over a month. It had good reviews and a Hi-Def player to try out the plasma with. First Impressions have been excellent. I run an optical cable to the home cinema and DVi connection to the tv, so I am not sure if the sound quality is good or bad. Best budget starting hi-def player to buy. Plays far more of the DVD's than my sony.
