Good Points

Camera works like a 35mm in that you have shutter or aperature priority, auto-idiot mode, and manual. You can hook this puppy up to a mono lights for studio use or just hook an external flash to it.

Bad Points

For some unknown reason the picture quality has diminished as time has gone by. I thought that it might be the card so I bought a couple of new ones and the quality is still the same. An extremley annoying quirk is the camera lag. You will miss almost every spontaneous shot because of this! It focuses back and forth and then finally shoots, usually after the shot that you want is gone! This camera is a nigthmare in dim light. It is absolutely useless under these conditions. There are times when I have wanted to kick it across the room because of this. Don't even think about taking pictures at night because of the infamous "hot pixels" that it produces. This one will really p*** you off. Any extreme black area is contaminated with these nasty pixels! You might like the effect with night shots because they look like little stars! Last, but not least, the pictures taken with flash, (faces) come out peachy-orange. I have tried for hours in Photoshop to come up with some magic combination to eliminate this but it has been to no avail! I finally upgraded to a Nikon D100 and have already sold one of my 6900 cameras. I have one left and I will have finally washed my hands of this beast by next week.

General Comments

As you can tell I am not the person that you want to talk with if you are interested in purchasing this camera! Maybe I got the one that was made at 4:45 on Friday. Hopefully everyone that owns one of these cameras does not have the same problems and if they should, I hope that they will not be as vexed as I have been. The fact that the picture quality has been diminishing on my camera leads me to believe that it is some kind of defect. I am glad to finally wash my hands of this camera...
Thanks...

I don't agree about the DARK pictures..I find the flash facility and the pics that this takes very good. You must have a duff one I'd say?

I do agree with the time lag though. Especially in flash mode...it sometimes takes forever to reset before allowing another shot to be taken..even when fully charged up? LIkewise when takeing shots of a HIGH setting, the camera suffers with time delay, inbetween each shot.

However, I find it a great camera none the less.
