The car does everything it says on the package. It is a 'Roadster' not a sports car in the true meaning of the word for modern vehicles.
There are no real bad points for a two seater roadster. I would have preferred a proper dual tone horn but that is nit picking really.
There is no real competition in this market. The MG sadly is defunct and the reliability of that marque suspect.
The Toyota is truly a toy with no real practicality.
The Lotus is an out and out track day car.
With the Mazda MX-5 you can go away for a week and carry all the luggage you truly require in the boot. If you do need more space then there is a boot rack you can add on.
Fuel consumption is dependant upon usage but for open top cruising 40mpg is achievable with the 1840ccs engine, provided you drive sensibly.
The car will last forever given sensible attention. There is no competition.
If you want a sports car buy a Porsche Boxster or a Honda S2000.
